Well, it can’t all be heroic. While doing database diving on my 6th great-grandfather and Revolutionary War veteran Amos Shepardson, I came across this snippet. In June of 1752 when he was about 17 years old –
“Rebecca Galloway Appearing…fornication…fine of fourty shillings…Declared Amos Sheperdson Junior is the Father of her said Child.”
